There is no better way to pay tribute to our deceased veterans than to arrange military honors at their funeral ceremony in recognition of their proud service to our country.

Military Honors include a flag presentation and the playing of "Taps" following committal services at the cemetery. We can also arrange for a gun salute through the local VFW Post.

To further commemorate the deceased veteran, your family can personalize the casket of your choice with military crest inscription on the casket or military symbols or flag embroidering on the inside panel of the casket lid. These choices are available from the Serve and Protect section of our Meaningful Memories© room.

For those Delaware residents who are eligible, there are two Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery sites available, located in Bear and Georgetown. A simple application for burial and the veterans DD214 discharge papers are required. To assist families who have not pre-applied, we have the necessary application for eligibility. Additional benefits from the veterans cemetery include:

  • burial plot for the veteran and spouse
  • burial vault
  • grave marker
  • use of the committal chapel
