Christine M. Dimatteo

Christine M. Dimatteo, age 79, of Wilmington, Delaware, passed away peacefully on February 22, 2026.

Christine was educated at St. Helena’s Grade School and was a proud graduate of Mount Pleasant High School. She dedicated 50 years of her life to her career as a talented and devoted hair stylist, working alongside her brothers, Phil and Marty, and her nephew, Christopher, at All About Hair. Even after retirement, Christine continued to care for some of her favorite longtime clients from home. She truly loved her work and the relationships she built over the years.

Christine’s greatest joy was her family. She expressed her love through cooking, always eager to prepare a meal and gather loved ones around her table. She faithfully hosted Sunday dinners and her cherished Christmas Eve celebrations each year, welcoming extended family and friends into her home. She also lovingly prepared weeknight dinners for her son, Bobby, and his family, helping to ease their busy schedules.

She treasured time spent with her grandchildren, Gianna and Dominic, and found her happiest moments cheering them on at their sporting events or hosting memorable sleepovers with their friends. Christine also enjoyed relaxing days at the beach with her late husband, Nick, and fondly remembered their time together on his boat.

Christine was preceded in death by her parents, Alfonso and Martha (Tancredi) Giordano Glessner; her beloved husband, Michael Nicholas “Nick” Dimatteo; her brother, Marty Giordano.

She is survived by her loving son, Bobby Ragazzo Jr. (Elena) of Hockessin, Delaware; her cherished grandchildren, Dominic & Gianna Ragazzo; her siblings, Dr. Lawrence Giordano (Christina), Phillip Giordano (Jeanne, deceased), and Marcia Giordano (Bill); and her many nieces and nephews whom she loved deeply: Michael Bishop, Joey Bishop, Jessica Bishop, Geoff Giordano, Mark Giordano, Christopher Giordano, Marty Giordano, and Laurie DeLucia.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday, March 4th, 2026, from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Wilmington, DE 19808, where a memorial service will begin at 11:00 AM.
