Lora Lynn Conner

Lora Lynn Conner, age 72, passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2024 after a long illness at the Christiana Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

She was a lifelong resident of Delaware, graduate of William Penn High School and was employed by the State of Delaware for over 30 years.

Lorie enjoyed life to the fullest, and was always ready to lend a hand to those in need. She was a true “Parrothead” in every sense of the word – the last thing she told her family was that she was going to see a Jimmy Buffet concert.

One of her hobbies was making greeting cards for her friends and family, and on special occasions, she presented the beautiful, handmade cards. Lorie loved the holidays and one of her greatest joys was spending time with her family.

Lorie was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Mabel (Holmes) Conner.

She is survived by her brother, Albert Conner and his wife, Margie; her sister, Barbara Conner; her niece, Brigitte (Frank); nephew, Albert (Serena); niece, Colleen; nephew, Kyle (Laura); her five grand-nieces and nephews, Frank, Molly, Scarlett, Jack, and Logan; and many devoted cousins and friends.

A Celebration of Life for family and friends will be held at 12:00pm on Thursday, April 4th, 2024 at the Christiana Hilton, 100 Continental Drive, Newark, DE 19713.
